Snake Trail Run, MTB Duathlon this weekend in Consolacion

CEBU, Philippines —  Living up to its title, it’s going to be an “Endurance Weekend” in Consolacion with two major events on tap starting off with the “Snake Trail Obstacle Challenge” this morning.

The 7.5-kilometer trail run is laced with seven obstacles around Consolacion’s famous snake route. This include running for 400 meters while carrying tires, a steep climb, monkey bars, a river run, and a ring and rope traverse.

Event organizer Alan G. Choachuy said the Snake Trail backed up by Fighter 50 Wine features the elite, age-groupers and fun category for both male and female division.

After the obstacle challenge, the fourth edition of the annual Consolacion Mountain Bike Off-Road Duathlon will take place on Sunday starting and ending at SM Consolacion.

The categories to be contested are the elite and the 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49 and 50-above age groups. There will also be a special class for the fat bike and e-bike and a relay competition for all-male, all-female and mixed.

Aside from the beautifully-crafted trophies and medals, the winners in the elite category of the Snake Trail and MTB Duathlon will also pocket cash prizes. All finishers will receive medals and souvenir shirts.  EBV
