Stallions win 3rd straight in Elite caging

CEBU, Philippines — The Stallions kicked the Hawks down, 95-82, to stretch their winning streak to three games in the Elite Basketball Club-Cebu City Season 17 at the Visayan Glass gym in Barangay Guadalupe.

Kim Trigue led four Stallions in double figures with 25 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block to emerge as best player of the game.

John Villabrille and Ajie Villaver each scored 19 while Johncle Molero contributed 11 points for the Stallions, who used a fierce third-quarter attack to turn back the Hawks.

Down by seven points at the break, 36-43, the Stallions detonated a 30-13 bomb in the third period to seize control of the match, 66-56, heading into the final 10-minute mark of the contest.

The Stallions sustained their momentum to preserve a 13-point triumph.

 James Truz finished with 26 points while Trystan Chu, Denzel Tee and Rob Abayon connived for 41 points but to no avail as the Hawks stayed listless in four starts.

In the other game, Jeslar Larumbe, John Capuyan and Jerome Soque combined for 76 points to power the Rams to a 105-92 whacking of the Tigers.

Jawein Ceniza added 18 points for the Rams who neved looked back after cruising to a 54-37 lead at halftime on the way to improve their record to 3-1 (win-loss).

The Tigers fell to 1-2 despite the 34-point explosion of Christopher Obeso. EBV
