CEBU, Philippines — Top Cebuana gymnast Daniela Reggie de la Pisa got a huge confidence booster in her maiden Southeast Asian (SEA) Games campaign after claiming back-to-back victories on foreign shores.

After placing just fifth in the RG Friends Masters Gymnastics Meet in Denmark early this month, De la Pisa bounced back with aplomb in the next two events she competed in.

De la Pisa bagged gold in the senior division all-around during the Magic Cup Rhythmic Gymnastics Meet in Hungary last week.

A few days later, the 16-year-old De la Pisa proved that her victory in Hungary was no fluke by grabbing a gilt in the Liptov Cup 2019 in Liptovsky, Slovakia over the weekend.

It was De la Pisa’s last tournament before she plunges into action in the rhythmic gymnastics event of the 30th SEA Games on December 6-7 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
