Cebu Aces,Tennis Minds top CitiGreen all-students
CEBU, Philippines —The Cebu Aces and Tennis Minds reigned supreme in their respective divisions of the CitiGreen Tennis Cup All-Students Team Event the other night at the CitiGreen Tennis Resort in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.
The Aces, composed of Elizabeth Abarquez, Venz Alforque, Don Vinz Lominoque, Eric Louise Longakit and Pherl Bless Coderos, ruled the secondary division. Their netters garnered a total of 198 points, just one point ahead of their closest pursuer Derf’s Tennis.
The Aces sealed the title with a 34-23 win against More Power team(formerly named JBIS) of Iloilo for a total of six wins and a loss.
Power Spin settled for third with 189 points while More Power of Iloilo landed fourth with 160 points followed by University of Cebu Webmasters at fifth spot with 133 total points.
In the elementary division, Tennis Minds of Chad Connor Cuizon, Gio John Manito, Aaron Kevin Tabura, Shara Louise Paliwag, Daveaine Therese Gauran and Aleeva Feonne Suace, clinched the title with 56 points. Tennis Ninjas grabbed the second place with 51 points while the Avengers wound up third with 11 points.
