RnT, Monterey, Biasong rout foes in South Dreamers caging

CEBU, Philippines — The RnT squad, Monterey School Lions and Biasong walloped their respective rivals at the start of the 1st South Dreamers Basketball League (SDBL) season last Saturday at the Vista Grande gym in Barangay Bulacao, Talisay City.

In the Under 16 category, Team RnT hammered San Roque, 42-25, while the Lions roared past Ribros, 48-23.

Jeff Santos paced RnT with 13 points while Chiro Abalos showed the way for the Lions with 14 markers.

In the Under 18 age group, Biasong got off to a rousing start via a 58-40 thrashing of Ribros.

Jimuel Sumayo sparkled with 18 points for Biasong.

In the only close match of the day, Graphics Point Toledo escaped past the Minglanilla Ballers, 50-46.

Troy Alicaway topscored for Graphics Point with 15 points.

Guided by their motto “Chase Your Dreams”, the South Dreamers league is formed by coach Dennis Lee Pacquiao, Luzette Degala Pritscher and Genesis Franco to give the young aspiring cagers an avenue to further harness their skills and help them achieve their goals in life one day down the road.
