CEBU, Philippines — It’s green and go for Cebu Parklane International Hotel’s 9th Hunat Sugbu:Dagan Para Ni Maning slated on June 23 at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

The annual charity race, which is dedicated to the late Manuel Go Ting, the founding president of Parklane Hotel, features the 3K, 6K, 12K and 21K categories.

The organizers target at least 2,200 participants to join the race.

“Our target for the number of participants is still the same and we encourage the runners to register as early as possible for we only have limited slots available especially for the 12K and 21K,” said Hunat Sugbu chairman Nicanor Nacorda.

As part of its environmental advocacy, the organizers are egging on the participants to bring their own hydration bottles during the race.

“We encourage our runners to bring their own hydration bottles to lessen the use of plastic or paper cups during the race. We hope to institute this in the next editions of our run,” added Nacorda.

The organizers also announced that their early listup has attracted over 200 registrants. They will receive a limited edition of Hunat Sugbu 9 race shirts.

A total of P72,000 in cash prize will be given away to the top finishers in each category.
