Leylam FC scores twinkill in Sinulog bootfest

CEBU, Philippines — Leylam FC pulled off a twinkill in the three-day 9th Sinulog Football Festival, which came to a close on Sunday night at the Cebu City Sports Center.

Leylam defended its men’s open title at the expense of Indiana Aerospace, 2-0, as well as its inter-company crown after edging ERCO FC, 2-1, via penalty shootout.

In the men’s open,  Eni Famous and Pinto Kabulo made their presence by delivering  a goal each under the straight 15-minute final match.

Earlier, the Dan Villarico-mentored Leylam stayed as inter-company champion after frustrasting ERCO.

In the age-group battle, Don Bosco United and Los Amigos topped their respective divisions.

DBU silenced the Rising Sun, 1-0, to lord it over the men’s 38-above category, while Los Amigos bested KN Ferraren, 1-0, to rule the men’s 45-above class. (FREEMAN)
