Dreamscape extends hot streak to 8-0 in E-Leagues

CEBU, Philippines — Ralph Belarmino posted 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Dreamscape Networks Lions walloped the JP Morgan Chase Bankers, 73-53, to stay as the only undefeated team in the Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball Season 14 last Saturday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Dom Santini Ortega banged in 13 points and five boards, while John Louie Arriesgado came through with 11 points, six assists, two steals and as many rebounds as the Lions firmed up their grip of the solo lead in the EVO League with an immaculate 8-0 slate.

Jeyson Goden nailed 16 markers, Fritz Malinao chipped in 13 markers and Clark Sayson scored 11 but their efforts went to waste as the Bankers dropped to 5-3.

In the other EVO League games, the Contact Solutions Flying Lemurs and the Kyocera Frontiers also sustained their hot streaks.

Jerard De la Cerna carded in with 14 points spiced with nine caroms as the Flying Lemurs bested the Optum Knights, 65-60 for their fourth straight win after a woeful 0-2 start, while Matthew Grafilo sparkled with 23 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals as the Frontiers obliterated the Streamline Kangaroos, 103-41, for their third straight victory and sixth overall in seven starts.

In the Elite Classic, the Teleper formance Vipers earned a share of lead after crushing the ePerformax Reds, 85-66.

Kevin Clark Navaja rifled 20 points, Gamaliel Bas cashed in 12 points, 11 rebounds, five steals, three assists and two blocks, while Germaine Jo Michael Guarisma pumped in 10 markers for the Vipers, who joined the Accenture Sharks atop the leaderboard with identical 8-1 cards.

Jan Pope Ravina and Nolan De la Peña connived for 43 points but were not enough as the Reds suffered their seventh loss in nine games. (FREEMAN)
