GCM's 25th Anniversary Run slated October 28

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu running enthusiasts get a chance to provide shelter to abandoned and handicapped children and elderly in Gaisano Countrymall's 25th Anniversary Run on October 28 starting and ending at the mall's grounds in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.

 

"This is an answered prayer, this will be beneficial to our brothers and sisters who are in need,”said Murray Laurent Goodman of Missionaries of the Poor, a religious community which helps people in need.

Fitness buffs have the option to race in either in the 5K, 6K, 10K, 15K and 21K categories. Also, for the first time in the run’s history, there will also be a ‘6K Extra Challenge’, where participants will run through multiple military-style obstacles.

Organizers are expecting around 3,000 participants are to join the race.

A total of P100,000 cash prizes are at stake for the top finishers, while the 21K and 6K finishers will receive a specially-designed medal.

Entry fee is pegged at P400 for 5K, P500 for 10K, P600 for 15K , P700 for P21K and P800 for the 6K Extra Challenge inclusive of snacks, loot bag, raffle ticket and singlet.

One may register at the customer service booth of Gaisano Country Mall and Gaisano Main in Colon and at Runnr Store in Ayala Center Cebu.
