SRBC bowlers steal lead

CEBU, Philippines — The San Remigio Beach Club keglers sneaked past E.O. Bucoy Consultants 2 in Game 2 to steal the lead in the 2018 Rich Sweet & Spicy Banana Catsup Tenpin Bowling Invitational Tournament the other day at the SM City Cebu bowling center.

SRBC bowlers placed third in Game 1, but they climbed their way on top of the leaderboard after knocking down 2,570 pinfalls in Game 2 for a total of 5,052 in two games.

Roland Bantilan, Ronan Barredo, Joe Chu, Rey Velarde and Chai Ming Lo fired a strong 881 pinfalls in the final round following a 849 and 840 scores in the first and second round to clinch the win.

Rich Catsup Team maintained the second place after scoring 2,523 for a total of 5,006, while first round leader E.O. Bucoy Consultants 2 dropped at third place with 2,408 scores for a total of 4,939.

Meanwhile, SRBC's Ronan Barredo (224) and Rich Catsup's Janice Calibugan (196) clinched the highest men's and women's individual single scores. Rich Catsup's 905 score in the second game won the highest team single award.

The fourth to 10th placers were RCC& J Team (4,773), E.O Bucoy Consultants 1 (4,711), Chanieka (4,697), D’ Unli Team (4,612), D’Underdog (4,419), Cetba Juniors 1 (3,945) and Cetba Juniors II (3,899).
