SHS-Ateneo bootfest kicks off
CEBU, Philippines — The 3rd Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Football Invitational kicks off today at SHS-Ateneo’s Fr. Julian Hernando pitch in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.
The tournament exclusive to boys 15-under players drew a dozen teams divided into four groups of three.
Sagay FC, Sisters of Mary’s School-Boystown and the University of San Carlos-BED make up Group A, Bohol’s Gaher FC, DBTC-Magone and host SHS-Ateneo are under Group B, while Cagayan de Oro’s Roseville FC is in group C along with Giuseppe FC and ANS-Pomeroy.
Group D, on the other hand, is composed of Bohol’s Matrix United, DBTC Savio, and Don Bosco Boys Home.
The top two teams of each group will move up to the quarterfinals. The four survivors will proceed to the crossover semifinals. The last two teams standing will then fight it out for the championship.
