Carcar spikers draw first blood

CEBU, Philippines — Carcar City survived a scare from Argao to win Game 1 of their best-of-three finals series in the Governor's Cup Inter-Cities and Municipalities Under-18 Developmental Volleyball Tournament the other day at the Carcar City Sports Complex.

A win by the Carcar spikers today will give them the South division title. Game time is at 7 p.m.

It was not an easy win for Carcar as Argao fought hard the entire game.  Argao had a strong start by winning the first two sets, 25-18, 25-18, but Carcar bounced back in the third set, 26-24.

Carcar continued to ride on its momentum during the fourth canto with a 25-22 win and successfully completed a comeback with a 15-10 victory in the final set.
