CEBU, Philippines — Cebuano daredevil Sylvester Ramirez ended his 2017 race season with a big bang after claiming three championship trophies and two runner-up finishes during the third and final leg of the Yamaha Philippines-sponsored FDR Grand Prix Series at Kartzone in Barangay Kasambangan, Cebu City.

Ramirez of FDR-Mallari Racing Team outsmarted his teammate RJ Commendador to snare the Unioil expert underbone crown as Simon Spencer Solon settled for third.

Ramirez also got the novice underbone title after edging Jaycob Cabahug and Rommel Paz. He made it a golden treble after topping the novice automatic over his teammates John Paul Manatad and Van Ricablanca.

Cabahug and Solon, however, prevented Ramirez from scoring a clean sweep.

Cabahug ruled the expert automatic, while Solon nailed two titles via the intermediate automatic and underbone all against Ramirez.

Gian Commendador, RJ's brother, made his presence felt by reigning supreme in the kids race.

Two other FDR-Mallari Racing riders in Janesse Lucero and Francis Castaneda stamped their respective classes in the ladies division and Mio MXi One-make club race. (FREEMAN)
