Ginebra 3-on-3 hoop tourney this Saturday

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu leg of the Ginebra San Miguel Inc. 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will fire off on August 12 at the Barangay Pasil Multi-Purpose Gym in Cebu City. The tournament is open to male non-professional players aged 18-35 and must be physically fit.

 Organizers are limiting the tournament to 16 teams with each squad composed of four players. The 16 competing squads will carry the names of Ginebra personalities: Team Caguioa, Team Aguilar, Team Ferrer, Team Devance, Team Taha, Team Ellis, Team J. Cruz, and Team Jaworski, Team Tenorio, Team Thompson, Team Helterbrand, Team Marcelo, Team Slaughter, Team Mercado, Team Mariano and Team Cone. Registration is still ongoing for the few remaining slots.

 To join, a team must purchase the following GSMI products: four bottles Ginebra San Miguel Frasco or 4x4 700ml; four bottles GSM Blue Distilled or Flavors 700ml; four bottles Primera Light Brady 700ml; and two bottles of Ginebra Premium Gin 700ml.

 The Cebu leg champion will get P4,000 plus one case of GSMI products. The first-runner up will receive P3,000 and a case of GSMI products. Also, each member of the team will get a free jersey (upper) during the tournament proper. A whopping P50,000 cash will be given to the national champion plus GSMI products and GSMI trophy. National championship qualifiers will get a chance to meet and greet with Barangay Ginebra players aside from having a free accommodation depending on its location.
