Cops seize P5M shabu
CEBU, Philippines — More than P5 million worth of illegal drugs were recovered from two men during an afternoon buy-bust operation yesterday in Barangay Sambag II, Cebu City.
Dennis “Badin” Narvasa, 40, and Wynnel Estreba, 34 , were arrested during a joint buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7, Police Station 11 Drug Enforcement Unit led by Chief Inspector Randy Tedio Caballes, and Police Station 2 Drug Enforcement Unit led by Chief Inspector Eduard Sanchez.
Seized from the suspects were one large and five medium packs of suspected shabu weighing 845 grams valued at P5.745 million.
The police also recovered the P50,000 buy-bust money, P20,000 believed to be proceeds from the illegal business, weighing scale, a bank check, among others.
“Naa ta’y mga previous na case, unya na connect nato ang source. Ari diri magkuhaan ni Badin,” Caballes said.
Narvasa, in an interview, admitted to the crime.
“Tulo man gud ka anak nako ang nag skwela, ako ray gisaligan,” Narvasa said.
This is the third huge drug haul in Sambag II.
Last December 12, the police recovered P89,000 worth of shabu, while they also seized P36 million worth of suspected shabu last November 30 from Michael Carabaña, 28, Agustin Quijano, 34; Jemuel Enrile, 24; and Arnold Arquiza, 37.
