Comelec online precinct finder up

Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — Registered voters for the upcoming National and Local Elections can now verify their registration status and locate their designated polling precincts, as the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has reactivated its online precinct finder, which went live early yesterday.

The COMELEC Precinct Finder allows voters to conveniently determine their registration status, assigned clustered precincts, and designated voting centers.

In a midweek update, the COMELEC En Banc confirmed that the system has been live since 4 a.m. yesterday.

Voters can access the tool online via https://voterverifier.comelec.gov.ph or https://precinctfinder.comelec.gov.ph.

Voters must input their first name, middle name, and last name as provided during registration and as reflected in the COMELEC Central Database. They must also enter their birthdate in the MM/DD/YYYY format.

For voters without a middle name, a period or space can be used in the designated field. To include the character “ñ,” a button is available beside the text box for easy insertion.

For those with first names beginning with “Maria,” COMELEC recommends trying different variations such as “Maria,” “Ma,” or “Ma.” if no record appears.

Voters must also indicate their place of registration—Province and City/Municipality for local voters, or Post/Embassy for overseas voters—before proceeding to review and confirm the Data Privacy Notice to begin the search.

“The system then will display the complete name of the voter, together with the place of registration. This also determines whether the voter’s registration status is active, deactivated, has no record, or has multiple records,” COMELEC said.

It will also show polling information such as the clustered precinct number and polling place or voting center.

COMELEC noted that the data shown is based on the latest updates from COMELEC Field Offices and Philippine Embassies and Posts, as well as the exact details provided by voters during registration, as reflected in the national list of registered voters. –/FPL (FREEMAN)
