Cebu City Jail male dorm visits resume

CEBU, Philippines —  Visits at the Cebu City Jail Male Dormitory have resumed as with a dry-run set for November 29, 30 and December 1, 2 and 3, 2022.

On November 29 at 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., visitors are allowed at the Main Building 14 to 25, kitchen and cafeteria.

On November, 30 of the same time, visitors are allowed at the Drug Offenders Building 14 to 21 and Reception and Diagnostic Cells.

On December 1 of the same time, visitors are allowed at the Main Building 1 to 14 while on December 2 from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Drug Offenders Building 1 to 13.

On December 3 at 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., visitors are allowed at the Annex Building.

The Cebu City Jail Male Dormitory has 6,100 Persons Deprive of Liberty (PDLs) the reason why the visitation is scheduled.

Allowed items to be brought in are two pieces of plain yellow T-shirts; two thin gartered short pants of any color except black, two pieces of underwear and boxers.

Allowed hygiene kits and toiletries are three sachets of shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, five sachets of fabric conditioner, a bar of soap, 250ml of 40% alcohol, two bars of laundry soap, a box facemask of any color, and two sachets of laundry powder.

Also allowed are maintenance medicine, prescribed medicine or over the counter medicine, and vitamins except ointment or creams and liquid medicines.

Foods should be placed in a transparent container, two packs of plain biscuits or crackers, five pieces of fruits, a sachet of coffee or powdered milk of 500 grams and a fourth kilo of a pouch or pack of brown sugar.

Not allowed are bola-bola, lumpia, chorizo, slice bread, banana and grapes.

To ensure an orderly scheduled visit, visitors must bring valid ID except PhilHealth cards, TIN ID and any certification.

All visitors must bring birth certificate, marriage certificate, and live-in partner certificate proving relation to a PDL. Full vaccination cards are also required.

In the absence of vaccination cards, one must present a negative result of RT-PCR or swab test within 72 hours and antigen result within 24 hours.

Visitors are not allowed to wear yellow shirts, sleeveless, see-through skirt, shorts, plunging neckline, lewd dress and jewelries. Cash must not exceed P2,000.

Minors are not allowed to get in as well as pregnant women seven months above.
