CEBU, Philippines —  The Cebu City government has commended Abellana Police Station 2 for being named “Best City Police Station in all of Central Visayas.”

The Abellana Police Station 2 of the Cebu City Police Office led by Police Major Nolan Tagsip is grateful with the commendation bestowed upon them.

Councilor Rey Gealon sponsored a resolution commending Police Station 2, also known as the Abellana Police Station.

According to Tagsip, this success is the result of the cooperation of the personnel of Police Station 2 who did not get tired and continued to do their jobs.

“This because of the performance of our office in the aspect of operational and admin so nagbunga ang atong mga accomplishment before that contributed to the award nganong nahimo ta nga Best City Police Station region-wide,” said Tagsip.

According to the police, the commendation of the City Council will increase morale even more and motivate the police in the area to do their job.

Tagsip explained that they have an internal and external program implemented at Police Station 2.

Externally, this focused police operation against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, loose firearms and warrants is a big help in reducing the crime rate.

On the internal program, Police Station 2 has a weekly PNCO of the Week which is a great help to maintain the motivation of the police personnel to do their work.

“Ang objective ana is just like a private firm nga every month naa sila’y employee of the month or employee of the week, nag ingon ana sad ta to give credit and to give honor to those who perform well, by that ma high morale atong mga tawo and mo lift up pud ilahang morale,” said Tagsip.

Apart from this, they also have a station development plan in agreement with the Cebu City government as well as the private sector to beautify the police station to become “conducive for working.”

Cops believe that if the office is beautiful as well as fully equipped, the performance of the police will also be even better. — GMR (FREEMAN)
