CEBU, Philippines —  Authorities have arrested two drug suspects and seized P68,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in V. Rama Avenue, Englis, Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City on Sunday noon.

The suspects were identified as Michael Angtud Villegas, 42, listed as high-value individual, and Jeymel Cabaluna Grava, 36, listed as street-level individual, both residents of Barangay Pardo, Cebu City.

Seized from them were 10 grams of suspected shabu worth P68,000.

The operation for anti-illegal drugs was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Guadalupe Police Station which resulted in the arrest of the two drug personalities.

Six pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, including the subject of the sale and buy-bust money, were confiscated from the possession of Villegas.

One medium heat sealed transparent plastic pack of suspected shabu was also confiscated from Grava.

The drug suspects will be facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II under the Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.  — Dominic I. Dilao, Correspondent, GMR (FREEMAN)
