CEBU, Philippines —  A security guard was found dead outside the establishment he was assigned to in Northside Beacon, Purok Red Rose, Barangay Yati, Liloan, Cebu early morning Saturday.

Police identified the security guard as Allan Gorres, 41-year-old, a resident of Barangay Jugan, Consolacion. He was found dead with bullet wounds on his body.

Liloan Police Station investigator, Police Master Sergeant Kenneth Perocho, said they received an alarm at around 6:00 in the morning when a bystander in the area reported the incident to them.

They only found an empty cartridge while they also looked for his missing service firearm.

In the same report, the brother of Gorres mentioned that the victim had filed a case against his previous security agency as it reportedly failed to give him benefits.

The police have conducted further investigation into the incident. — Dominic I. Dilao, UV Comm Intern, GMR (FREEMAN)
