Cebu City logs 14 new COVID-19 cases

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City recorded 14 new COVID-19 cases and three new recoveries on Sunday, according to the Department of Health in Central Visayas.

Based on the data posted on its official Facebook page as of September 20, 2020, the total cases in the city is at 9,895 with 388 active cases. The total recoveries now stand at 8,842 while deaths remained at 665.

The same DOH-7 data showed that the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu recorded eight and 11 additional cases, respectively, and both recorded no new recoveries on Sunday.

Mandaue City has a total of 2,396 cases, 235 of these are active with 2,024 recoveries. Total number of deaths is at 137. Lapu-Lapu City's total COVID-19 infections is at 2,319 with 242 active cases. Total number of recoveries is at 1,984 while total deaths remained at 93.

Cebu Province, meanwhile, recorded 21 new cases and 16 new recoveries. The total number of active cases in the province is now 633, while the total number of recoveries is at 4,390. Total number of deaths is now 337. — FPL (FREEMAN)
