CEBU, Philippines —  The Cebu City government is set to put up 20 sanitation/disinfection tents as part of its efforts to prevent the further spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

City Health Officer Daisy Villa said these tents will be placed in City Hall, Cebu City Medical Center, City Health Office, and terminals.

In these tents, a person will have his/her clothes and shoes disinfected before entering a certain office and terminal.

Tracker

Meanwhile, the public is encouraged to download the RideHero application, which is available in both android and iOS.

The application can be used in tracking the 13 buses deployed by the city government for the stranded passengers due to the curfew.

Through the application, RideHero Chief Executive Officer Michael Cubos said social distancing measure is strictly observed since the public can just stay at a certain location at a certain time until the buses arrive to their designated station to pick up passengers.

“Dili na kinahanglan magtapok didto sa gawas. Magsikit-sikit sila.Pwede ra sila mag-relax ra didto, magpalayo... social distancing,” said Cubos.

Cebu City is the first local government unit to adopt the said application.  KQD (FREEMAN)
