CCPO nabs 16 for gambling

CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) has recorded 16 illegal gambling cases just within their 12-hour operation in the different parts of the city.

CCPO Director Engelbert Soriano said the operation was in line with their intensified campaign against illegal gambling.

Soriano added that most of those apprehended were involved in the illegal swertres game with 15 cases, while one was on Bolitsi that the San Nicolas Police Station had arrested.

He also said that they would launch a bigger operation against illegal gambling any time soon, after the police have received complaints that there are still people involved in the illegal activity.

Soriano also asked the public to report all forms of illegal gambling, so they can address the situation.

He added that they would not stop their operations until all those involved in illegal gambling is neutralized.  GAN (FREEMAN)
