Most wanted ‘carnapper’ nabbed in Catmon town
CEBU, Philippines — One of the most wanted carnappers in Cebu was arrested Saturday in Barangay Binongkalan, Catmon town.
The suspect was identified as Gilbert Navarro, 37, a native of Consolacion, Cebu. He is temporarily residing in Catmon where he works in a construction.
Police Captain Michael Gingoyon, chief of the Cebu Provincial Highway Patrol Unit, said Navarro is the fourth most wanted carnapper in the province.
Navarro was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 7 Judge Anacleto Debalocos for violation of the Republic Act 10883 or the Anti-Carnapping Law of 2016.
Gingoyon also tagged Navarro as “notorious thief” operating in the northern part of Cebu.
