Many nabbed in buy-busts, checkpoints
CEBU, Philippines — Four alleged drug suspects fell into the hands of authorities in separate operations in Talisay City while another 10 were also arrested in two checkpoints in Mandaue City on Friday.
The first buy-bust operation was staged in Sitio San Roque Proper, Barangay San Roque on Friday afternoon, where police arrested as certain Edgar Macrohon, 56, a resident of the same place.
Police retrieved from Macrohon 0.63 grams of suspected shabu worth about P4,000.
Aside from him, a certain Kirby Reyes, 48, was also arrested.
On Friday night, police arrested a certain Rian Ray Gabuya, 36, still in a buy-bust operation, this time in Zone 5, Barangay San Isidro.
Gabuya yielded 0.48 grams of suspected shabu with a value of about P3,000.
Finally, operatives arrested a certain Loren Lloyd Seguerra, 30, in another buy-bust operation in Sitio Mahayag, Barangay San Isidro late that night.
Seguerra yielded about P44,000 worth of suspected shabu with a weight of 6.51 grams.
Mandaue City
Meanwhile, in Mandaue City, 10 persons were arrested in separate checkpoints recently.
Mandaue City Police Office Station 1 led by Police Major Ramil Morpos first conducted a checkpoint on A. del Rosario Street in Barangay Guizo on Friday night, in which four motorists were arrested after they allegedly yielded illegal drugs. JMD (FREEMAN)
