Man arrested with P34T shabu

CEBU, Philippines — Around P34,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized  and a man was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay T. Padilla, Cebu City around 10 p.m. Monday.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) headed by Police Lieutenant Joffre D. Grande identified the suspect as Reynante “Pahak” Cubuguas Del Mar, 44, a resident of  F.Villa Sitio Sto. Niño of barangay T. Padilla.

The authorities recovered from the suspect one small sachet and two medium heated sealed sachet of suspected shabu and the P200 marked money used for the buy-bust.

The confiscated drugs weighed five grams, which cost P34,000 based on the Dangerous Drug Board (DDB). The confiscated item is sent to the PNP Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.

Del Mar is now detained at Cebu City police detention cell pending the filing of appropriate charges in court. — Ma. Mae Labora (FREEMAN)
