MANILA, Philippines — The incoming first district representative Eduardo Gullas wants Talisay City mayor-elect Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas to focus on the worsening traffic situation in in the city.

Eduardo, who is the outgoing mayor, said the traffic situation may not be solved overnight but it could be minimized.

The older Gullas told reporters that he tried to implement some changes in the traffic situation while he was still the city mayor but it remains unsolved.

“We cannot deny nga traffic gyud kay duol raman ta sa Cebu City,” mayor Gullas said.

He added that the number of vehicles is continuously increasing but the roads are narrow causing traffic congestion.

Appointing a traffic czar could be one of the options of the new mayor to address the worsening traffic situation.

Eduardo assured that even if he will be in Congress, he will be supporting his grandson’s priority programs especially on finding solution to the traffic situation of the city. (FREEMAN)
