Woman shot dead, grandson injured

CEBU, Philippines — A 53-year-old woman was killed while her grandson was wounded after three unidentified gunmen shot them yesterday in Barangay Liburon, Carcar City.

Agustina Espinoza succumbed to several gunshot wounds while Kedei Espinoza is in critical condition at a hospital in Cebu City.

Police investigation revealed that the victims were at the terrace of their house when the motorcycle-riding gunmen fired at them. The assailants were on board a black and white Honda XRM motorcycle without plate number.

Scene of the crime operatives found seven empty shells and two slugs for caliber .45 at the crime scene.

Police investigators are still conducting investigation to determine the possible motive. (FREEMAN)
