New LTFRB-7 building soon to rise in Cebu
CEBU, Philippines - The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Central Visayas will soon have its own building in Cebu.
LTFRB chairman Martin Delgra said they will put up their own multimillion-peso building before the year ends in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City or in Barangay Day-as, Cebu City.
Delgra said the budget for the construction of the new regional office has to be utilized within the year, otherwise the amount would revert back to the national government coffers.
"Kinahanglan nga matukod gyud ang building within the year kay kun dili mobalik ang kwarta sa national government," he said.
The LTFRB-7 has been renting an office space since 2005 at P63,000 per month at the North Reclamation Area in Cebu City.
The LTFRB chairman added that they wanted a bigger space not just for the building but also for the parking area for impounded vehicles.
When he assumed as LTFRB regional director last year, Ahmed Cuizon vowed to build their own building.
“For the longest time, wa gyu’y kaugalingon’g building ang LTFRB-7. Mao ni ang usa sa ako’ng paninguhaon nga magka-building gyud ang LTFRB-7,” he said earlier. (FREEMAN)
