CEBU, Philippines - Two men died in a motorcycle accident along Cansaga Road in Consolacion, Cebu last Monday afternoon.

Police Officer 1 Jean Pierre Punay of Consolacion Police Station said that victims Ruben Ginete Jr. and Robert Daza, both residents of Yati, Liloan, were declared dead on the spot by the medical responders.

Punay said the incident happened around 5 p.m.

Punay added that Daza and Ginete suffered several injuries in different parts of their bodies.

Investigation revealed that Ginete was driving his motorcycle with Daza as his passenger going to Consolacion Public Market from Liloan when they hit the center barrier of the road.

Daza and Ginete were both thrown off the motorcycle, their bodies landing a few meters away.

Some parts of the motorcycle may have malfunctioned which caused them to hit the barrier, leading to their instant death, according to the police. (FREEMAN)
