Grand recital set to commence workshops organized by CCTC
CEBU, Philippines - As part of its vision to be a responsive and effective body in showcasing Cebu as a top tourist destination, the Cebu City Tourism Commission will be having a grand presentation and recital to commence the series of workshops organized for street children.
The event, "Pasundayag", will be a musical and dance variety program set on Thursday, June 2, 6 p.m. at the activity center of Ayala Center Cebu.
The activity is in line with the celebration of "Philippine Heritage Month", which usually happens in the month of April and May.
Based on City Ordinance No. 1068, the general purpose of CCTC is to promote the development of areas in Cebu with potential tourism value.
It also serves as the implementing arm of the city government in the achievement of policies and program for the development, promotion and supervision of tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, the Philippine Tourism Authority and other agencies, persons, or entities concerned with tourism.
The event will involve 60 street children of the city, as well as that different personalities and groups from Cebu, such as the KNAPSACK Production, which also took lead in the workshops.
The Miss Cebu Charities and other celebrity coaches has also been lending their time to help the CCTC in the preparation for the grand presentation.
The activity is organized by CCTC, together with the Cultural and Historical Affairs Commission and Choreographers Guild of Central Visayas. — (FREEMAN)
