Find Your ‘X’: Converge expands opportunities for Cebuano students through FiberX Student League Ambassadors Season 2

MANILA, Philippines — Laughters, cheers and friendly competition filled the air as students gathered not just to play games, but to discover new opportunities as Converge launched the FiberX Student League Ambassadors Season 2 in Cebu through its “Limitless X” campaign on July 7.
The program is a youth empowerment initiative that helps students discover their “X”—their “passion, talent and edge”—by providing leadership opportunities, campus engagements, gaming and digital experiences, and a community where they can develop their skills and amplify their potential.
As the event formally opened, students from universities and colleges across Cebu moved from one XPerience Zone to another, competing in hyper-casual XPlay games such as Shoot Hoops, Car Race and Pod Attack while cheering classmates and newfound friends climbing the digital leaderboards.
Others joined the “Find Your X” challenge, explored the Ambassador Zone, and eventually came together to form a giant illuminated “X,” a visual symbol of the campaign’s belief that opportunities should reach students wherever they are.
Between bursts of friendly competition, others gathered around the Student League Ambassador booth, curious about how they could turn their passions into opportunities through the company’s youth development program.
However, the launch of the program’s second season was more than an afternoon of games and prizes, it was an invitation to become part of a growing community that encourages young Filipinos to discover their limitless “X”.
In his message, Geovani Jayme, Converge Regional General Manager for Visayas, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to creating opportunities that go beyond providing internet connectivity.
“For us, connectivity has never been just about the internet,” Jayme said. “It’s about creating possibilities because when people are connected, ideas grow, communities grow, dreams grow and futures begin to change.”
He said last year’s Student League Ambassadors program showed how students can thrive when given the right environment, with participants emerging not only as creators and leaders but also as advocates for their schools and communities.
Seeing participants discover new opportunities and grow, Converge is convinced that this moment deserves to grow. The company expanded the movement to reach more campuses and student communities across the country, especially in Cebu, and create more spaces where students can develop their talents.
That vision became the foundation of this year’s Limitless X campaign, encouraging students to pursue their interests without being held back by limited access or visibility. Through the initiative, Converge aims to bring leadership opportunities, digital experiences and meaningful engagements closer to students wherever they are.
“Opportunity shouldn’t belong to just one city, one campus or one region,” Jayme said. “It should belong to every Filipino student willing to pursue their passion.”
Meanwhile, Orange Ramirez, Converge Vice President and Head of Brand and Marketing, said the program continues to build on the idea introduced during its first season—helping students discover their own “X.”
Ramirez said the first season demonstrated that students naturally step forward when given the right platform to showcase their passions and talents. Building on that momentum, Season 2 seeks to provide even more opportunities for young people to develop their skills, collaborate with fellow students, and grow as future leaders.
She added that launching the new season in Cebu reflects Converge’s commitment to reaching students in different parts of the country and recognizing the abundance of talent beyond traditional hubs.
By bringing the program to more regions, the company hopes to make opportunities more accessible to young Filipinos who are eager to learn, lead, and make an impact in their communities.
“There is no monopoly on talent,” she said. “It’s everywhere in the Philippines. We just need to give opportunities to every corner of the country.”
Following the launch, Converge plans to bring the program closer to students through campus-led activities, community engagements, Geeky Nights, technology activations and partnerships with schools, allowing more young people to participate in future missions and leadership opportunities.
Closing the event, JP Aguilar, Senior Vice President and Consumer Business Group Head, reminded students that the launch marked only the beginning of their journey.
“This isn’t the finish line,” he said. “It’s just day one of a massive level up.”
Aguilar encouraged participants to continue exploring their potential by joining the Student League Ambassador community and taking part in future activities.
As the evening came to a close, the excitement inside the venue lingered. What began as a day of games and friendly competition evolved into something more meaningful—a reminder that when students are given the right platform, community and support, they are empowered not only to discover their “X,” but to create limitless opportunities that can shape their future.
