Makeup like it isn’t even there
CEBU, Philippines — A homegrown skincare and cosmetics brand recently celebrated its 25th anniversary in style by hosting a fashion presentation that featured current makeup trends and new styles by three of Cebu’s up-and-coming designers.
Held at the Atrium of Robinsons Galleria Cebu on July 5, the event titled “GT Cosmetics @ 25” underscored how versatile GT Cosmetics’ makeup line is in toning up the “nude makeup look,” a look which went very well with the minimalist-themed creations of Cebuano designers Celine Borromeo, Tata dela Calzada and Yoko Sato-Li.
Modelled by the metro’s top pageant queens, the show presented makeup-and-outfit combos for various occasions – highlighting how minimalist themes infuse sweet details to corporate wear, leisure wear, and everything in between. Overall, the presentation drew attention to the appealing qualities of laid-back styles – as well as how accents can stand as aesthetic centerpieces on their own.
At the same time, the anniversary show also underscored GT Cosmetics as a brand that’s not explicitly about concealing – but rather about accentuating beauty that’s already there to begin with.
