CEBU, Philippines — Hundreds of Cebuano book lovers trooped to the Cebu Trade Hall of SM City Cebu on November 21, the opening day of National Bookstore’s first “Book Binge Bazaar” in Cebu.

The event goes on until today, Sunday, November 25. The book sale highlights over 200,000 books that are sold at discounted rates. Also featured are a curated selection of stationary items, school supplies, toys, novelty items and more.

Titles that fall under the fiction and non-fiction genres are included in the five-day event – ranging from feature publications by DK publishing to children’s workbooks. The book fair also highlights a selection of graphic novels, self-help titles, recipe books, young adult novels and so much more.

Spearheaded by National Bookstore, Cebu’s “Book Binge Bazaar” takes after the first “Book Binge Bazar” in Metro Manila in February this year, whose well-received run prompted its holding in different parts of the country.

The Cebu leg of the nationwide book sale is the last of the series to be held in 2018. (YRST)
