This Year’s “MYOH”

CEBU, Philippines — Cebuanos of all ages trooped to All Flipflops Robinsons Galleria Cebu for this year’s “Make Your Own Havaianas (MYOH),” the 13th holding of the Brazilian flipflop brand’s annual custom flipflop event.

Staged in Metro Cebu from November 16 to 20, MYOH 2018 proved to be one for the books as it registered two firsts: the first to take place during the holiday season (not in summer, when the event had been held for more than 10 years), and the first to feature a commemorative strap that matches with a commemorative sole. MYOH 2018 also had an online customization/shopping component (with door-to-door delivery) that concurrently ran with the event.

With customization options in straps, soles and pins base-banded by nature-inspired themes, Havaianaticos got to customize flipflop pairs that evoked a nature-loving free-spirited attitude.

This year’s MYOH has pledged to donate portions of the proceeds from a Rainbow design pin to the Save the Children charity. (YRST)
