Ronnie Liangs hit single Ngiti inspires Project Smile advocacy
Ronnie Liang.

Singer and TV host Ronnie Liang has a new single which he recorded for the 125th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Army. The album has 12 songs and one of them is titled “Para sa Kapayapaan” which has a matching music video. What is noteworthy about the album is that the songs were composed by the soldiers themselves.

The songs will be available soon in all digital platforms worldwide thru Spotify, iTunes deezer, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube music and other online music portals. Ronnie would like to thank the soldiers who willingly shared their songs to the album which is his tribute for the anniversary of the Philippines Army.

He has also started his “Project Ngiti” in cooperation with the Rizal Medical Center (RMC). Ronnie is asking children with cleft palate to undergo surgery. This is a long-term partnership and advocacy of Ronnie together with the doctors, nurses and staff of RMC to help adults and children to have a normal and happy lives.

For free cleft lip and cleft palate treatment and operation, interested parties need to comment on the Facebook page of Ronnie and they will contact you and address your concern.

This “Project Ngiti” is a very good endeavor that was obviously inspired by Ronnie’s hit single “Ngiti.” Children who don’t have the financial capacity to undergo treatment can avail of Project Smile to solve their problem.

Congratulations to Heaven’s Best Entertainment Productions, Ms. Harlene Bautista, and director Louie Ignacio for the victory of  “Huling Ulan sa Tag-Araw” as Best Feature Film at the recently concluded Prime International Film Festival held in Mumbai, India.

Congratulations as well to Rita Daniela and Ken Chan, the lead stars of “Huling Ulan sa Tag-araw,” an entry at the Metro Manila Film Festival last December.

The movie’s win in the Prime International Film Festival is a sweet one for Direk Louie and his team after getting a snub at the MMFF where it won only one award as Best Theme Song which Direk Louie composed.

Here’s wishing that the film will get noticed in the coming awards season. Congratulations to Team “Huling Ulan sa Tag-araw!”

Megastar Sharon Cuneta had a cute post in her Instagram account about two askals (or asong kalye).

Sharon shared in her IG (@reallysharoncuneta) that she was on her way back to her villa after taping for “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” when she chanced upon two dogs.

She wanted to feed them so she cut up her dinner of chicken and rice. But when she started to approach the dogs, they ran away from her. So what Sharon did instead was to leave the food that was inside the box by the road and hope that the dogs went to eat it when she was gone. She also added in her post that she misses her dogs which she left in her home in Manila.

The @pawspassionproject took note of Sharon’s gesture, saying, “Stray feeding day 1, first meeting usually looks like this. But then when you keep coming back, they’ll start coming after you already! Thank you for using the platform to raise awareness.”
