Lapu-Lapu bet advocates for LGBT

CEBU, Philippines —  We next set our sights on Binibining Pilipinas which – pending yet another postponement – will hold its finals on June 27. BPCI released Monday night a new set of photos of its 34 candidates that also stated their individual advocacies, including that of Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu’s Mercedes Pair.

Pair, a Hong Kong-based model and host, chose to campaign for the LGBT community, which was received positively by netizens who appreciated her not-so-usual pageant cause.

“We are one with the nation to celebrate the beauty of every Filipina. Being a Binibini is not all about glamour, for each queen has a purpose rooted in personal advocacy,” BPCI posted on its social media accounts.
