Why Marco Gumabao jives well with women
CEBU, Philippines — Being the only man in their household has helped Marco Gumabao get along well with various leading ladies, the 26-year-old actor said.
“In every project where I’m paired with different leading ladies each time, you have to build the chemistry all over again. I think I jive well with women because I’m surrounded by women at home. Ako yung only boy so it’s easy for me to be close to women. Ang taas ng respeto ko sa kanila.”
When working with female actresses – among them Anne Curtis, Lovie Poe, Nadine Lustre, and Kylie Verzosa – Marco said he makes sure to learn what makes them tick and what ticks them off for a smooth time on set.
“As much as possible, inaalam ko ano yung mga gusto and hindi nila gusto,” shared Marco, “and I work around that. The bottom line is, respect them and don’t do anything that will cross their lines.”
