Anne Curtis considers 2018 as an unforgettable one for her. She starred in the blockbuster hit “Sid & Aya” opposite Dingdong Dantes. Her role as a hard-hitting PDEA agent in Erik Matti’s “Buy Bust” got resounding reviews both here and abroad.

She has an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival titled “Aurora” and she is doing her 21st anniversary concert at the Araneta Coliseum on August 18 titled “AnneKulit: Promise, Last na  ‘To.”

Anne thought that after getting married, her career will slow down. But the opposite actually happened. She even became busier with more projects being given to her by Viva Entertainment.

She said the idea to do a concert came from Viva’s top honcho Vic del Rosario. When she did her first concert, “Annebisyosa,” she was surprised that it was a hit. She thought that would be the first and last time that she’d do a concert. After all, she is not a singer in the league of Sarah Geronimo.

The “It’s Showtime” host did another concert titled “AnneKapal” which also drew in the crowds.

Now that she is marking her 21st anniversary in showbiz, Anne agreed to Boss Vic’s idea to mount another major concert to celebrate another milestone in her career.

But she thought hard and long before agreeing to Boss Vic’s idea. She promised herself this will be her last hurrah on the concert stage. She plans to slow down on her career so she can devote more time for her family and spend more sweet moments with her husband, celebrity chef Erwan Heussaff.

Anne said she and Erwan are going to South Africa in November to have their much-delayed honeymoon. She got busier after getting married and she somehow feels guilty with not being able to spend more time with her husband.

“Just recently, he texted me and asked when can the two of us, just the two of us, have dinner together. I said we will do it after my concert. I intend to relax after the show. I will just be busy doing the promo of our film entry for the December filmfest,” said Anne.

Joining Anne in her final concert are Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo, James Reid, Ex Battalion and Aegis. The show’s musical director is Louie Ocampo, with Paul Basinillo as stage director.

Produced by Viva Live, the concert proceeds will benefit the special projects of Dream Machine Philippines. For ticket inquiries, you may call Ticketnet (911-555) or Viva Live (687-7236).

JC Santos said he didn’t expect the overwhelming support given by the audience to “100 Tula Para kay Stella” when it was shown in last year’s Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.

He is hoping to get the same warm response for “A Day After Valentine’s” where he is reunited with Bela Padilla and director Jason Paul Laxamana.

“We don’t know what to expect because we didn’t stick to the formula of ‘100 Tula para kay Stella.’ We want to present something new. Just because ‘100 Tula Para kay Stella’ was a hit does not mean this movie will be a hit as well. But we do hope the audience will also like this movie and support it,” the actor said.

Direk Jason Paul said that he hopes the audience will also patronize not only “A Day After Valentine’s” but also his other Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino entry, “Bakwit Boys.”

“I sincerely want the audience to watch both movies. These are two distinct projects done differently. They have diverse themes and messages. I hope they can support both movies,” said Direk Jason.

“Bagani,” one the highest rating shows in the Kapamilya Network, ends this Friday with a bang. The cast led by Enrique Gil, Liza Soberano, Matteo Guidicelli, Zaijan Jaranilla, and Makisig Morales are very thankful with the journey taken by “Bagani” which endeared the show to the viewers.

“Bagani” has been continuously well received by viewers since it premiered. It received an all-time high national TV rating of 36.2 percent last April 17, according to data from Kantar Media.

The show has also won the hearts of netizens with its hashtags trending all over the world on Twitter. It was also named as one of the most talked about teleseryes in the country in the first half of 2018, according to the Twitter Entertainment Index, a list of the most talked about topics on the social networking site.

Its online version, Bagani World, gave users the chance to be heroes of a digital Sansinukob. Although the website will close once the show bids its farewell, its stories will continue in “BAGANI: Beyond Sansinukob” on NoInk, ABS-CBN’s online reading platform.
