Robin Padilla is a producer’s delight

At the grand press conference of “Sana Dalawa ang Puso” earlier this year, Robin Padilla was vocal about his misgivings in doing another teleserye. The action star is fully aware that doing a TV series entails long hours of taping. But he couldn’t say no to Malou Santos who offered him the project to star opposite Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap.

Besides, the production team behind “Sana Dalawa ang Puso” strongly believed that having Robin in the cast gives the morning series a big boost in terms of acting and star quality.

The series has been airing for several months and Robin has endeared himself to the production who were so delighted that the actor agreed to do the project. He recently posted a message on his Instagram account which warmed the hearts of the production team as well as Julius Ruslin Alfonso who is directing Robin for the first time in a teleserye.

Here’s what Robin posted on his IG account: “Buhay teleserye…lahat gagawin ng mga taong ito maihatid lamang ang entertainment na ibig ng mga tagasunod ng Kapamilya. Walang nagrereklamo, walang nagpapasikat. Ang lahat ay may bahid ng antok ngunit alam ang ginagawa at pag narinig na ng lahat ang ‘action!’ ni Direk Julius, ang lahat ay nagbibigay pugay sa kanya at galang sa kanya-kanyang papel.”

We asked Direk Julius’ reaction to Robin’s post and this was his reply: “Sobrang saya ng JRA unit sa pagbibigay pugay niya sa amin. He really is a darling. Very appreciative sa group effort ng team. Ganun talaga siya ever since. He would always say thank you sa akin para sa mga magaganda at masasayang mga eksenang nakunan. Kung gaano kataas ang energy niya as Leo Tabayoyong, ganun din siya as himself on the set. Ang lakas maka-good vibes.”

Direk Julius added that theirs is a happy set whenever Robin is around. Robin’s presence brings sunshine to everyone.

“Masarap siya katrabaho. Magaan lang. Good vibes talaga. We are really overwhelmed pag nagpapasalamat siya sa lahat kasi maganda ang kinalabasan ng eksena. It feels good to be appreciated kasi si Robin Padilla yun di ba. Big star siya pero hindi siya umaastang big star kaya nakaka-good vibes talaga,” said the director.

Sylvia Sanchez is pleased with the very good feedback their show “Hanggang Saan” is getting from viewers. But when this show ends, Sylvia wants to take a break from teleseryes and would like to focus on doing movies.

The actress enjoyed the Holy Week. She was able to spend time with her family. She sometimes feels sad that her family time gets eaten up by her work. So whenever she gets a break, Sylvia makes it a point to spend it with her family. Its either they would go out for dinner or she would cook a feast and dine with her husband and their children at home.

“Bilang isang nanay, gusto ko na mas marami akong oras na kasama ang asawa ko at ang mga anak ko. Di naman iyan pwede pag may trabaho ako. Kaya pag may break o maiksing bakasyon, I make it a point na sulitin iyon by spending time with them,” said Sylvia.

She said they are still taping for “Hanggang Saan” and the network has not told her up to when the show is airing or if it’s going to be extended.

She is set to do movie in August and she hopes that by that time, “Hanggang Saan” would have been finished or is about to finish. She wants to concentrate her time on her next movie and she is willing to do a new teleserye next year.

It was not only the fans of Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli who got “kilig” when they saw the couple’s video doing a duet during the Cebuano actor’s 28th birthday party. It is very rare to see the two singing together.

Matteo has never appeared as a guest in Sarah’s concerts even if he also sings. He has had two successful concerts in Cebu and at the Kia Theater in November last year. Sarah also never appears in Matteo’s concert with him.

“We don’t want to be intrigued that we are using each other for our respective careers. When it comes to our careers, Sarah does her thing and I do mine. But we do support each other even if you don’t see us appearing together to sing a number or two,” said the mainstay of “Bagani.”

That’s why their friends who were at Matteo’s party took the liberty of taking videos when they did a duet. They also took a video of the couple’s sweet moments because these are rarely captured on camera.
