Ten of the Miss Universe 2016 candidates were presented to the media at JPark Resort and Waterpark in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu last December. The beauties, along with the rest of the finalists, will return to the Mactan resort on Tuesday, January 17, for the pageant's swimsuit event.
Where to catch Miss Universe on TV?

CEBU, Philippines - Catch all the Miss Universe 2016 candidates as they tour around the Philippines in a five-hour, two-part TV special, “10 Sunrises in the Philippines,” on January 21 and 28, 10 p.m. on Etc. These will be followed by “All About U” on February 4 and 5 at 8 p.m.

Watch the Miss Universe 2016 coronation live via satellite on January 30, Monday, at 8 a.m., with primetime replay at 8 p.m. on Etc. The live telecast can also be watched on TV5, GMA-7, and ABS-CBN.

Don’t miss the Miss Universe swimsuit and long gown competitions on TV5 on January 27 and 29, respectively. A weekend replay of the Miss Universe coronation will also be aired on GMA-7 and ABS-CBN on February 5.

Miss Universe is one of the most highly-anticipated events in over 190 countries. With at least 90 women competing for the crown, it is a battle not only of beauty, but also of wit and confidence. The pageant is even more thrilling for Filipino fans as it will be hosted by the Philippines for the first time in more than two decades as the reigning Miss Universe is also a Filipina.

On January 30, all eyes will be on Miss Universe Philippines Maxine Medina as she attempts a back-to-back win for the country, while reigning Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach prepares to pass on the crown to her successor. (FREEMAN)
