Logistics firm unveils franchise plans to boost domestic reach

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu-based ALiN Cargo Express Corporation (ACEC) is making an aggressive push into the domestic logistics market, unveiling plans to roll out franchises in 21 key locations across the Philippines as it seeks to capitalize on the sector’s strong growth trajectory and rising demand for integrated services.
The expansion—targeting high-density economic hubs such as Quezon City, Cavite, Batangas, Naga, Samar, Zamboanga, and General Santos—underscores ALiN’s strategy to deepen its domestic reach and tap into underserved yet commercially strategic areas across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The firm currently operates 15 local and 27 international branches across 18 countries.
“The logistics landscape in the Philippines is evolving rapidly, and we are positioning ourselves to meet that demand head-on,” said Israel Alin, Founder and CEO of ALiN Cargo Express.
“This expansion is not just about moving parcels. It’s about providing a complete suite of services that empower Filipinos and stimulate local economies,” he said in a press conference.
Each new branch will be designed as a multi-service business hub—offering logistics and freight solutions alongside financial services such as money remittance, bill payments, mobile e-loading, ticketing, insurance, and funeral plan arrangements.
The company is also preparing to deploy fintech capabilities including peer-to-peer fund transfers and QR-enabled merchant payments.
This integrated model reflects a broader shift in the logistics industry, where traditional cargo services are being bundled with digital financial tools to drive inclusion and efficiency, particularly in second-tier cities and OFW-heavy communities.
ALiN’s physical infrastructure is anchored by major warehouses in Pangasinan, Parañaque, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro, supported by a growing nationwide delivery fleet.
The company’s proprietary ALiN Service App allows customers to track parcels in real-time—both locally and internationally—via mobile and web platforms.
The franchise program aims to unlock entrepreneurial opportunities for Filipinos eager to enter the high-potential logistics space, where e-commerce growth and digital adoption continue to fuel demand for reliable last-mile and value-added services.
With an international footprint that spans the UAE, Canada, Australia, Japan, and multiple markets in Southeast Asia and Europe, ALiN Cargo Express is positioning itself as a global Filipino brand—combining logistics, financial services, and technology under one scalable platform.
“Our long-term vision is to build a logistics ecosystem that is innovative, accessible, and distinctly Filipino,” said Alin. “Through franchising, we’re opening the door for more Filipinos to take part in this growth story.”
The move comes as the Philippine logistics sector sees renewed investor interest, buoyed by a digital-first consumer base, robust remittance flows, and government support for trade infrastructure development. — (FREEMAN)
