Converge raises the bar in net services with new fiber plans
CEBU, Philippines — Fiber broadband provider, Converge ICT Solutions Inc., is raising the bar for internet services in the Philippines, offering customers not just faster speeds but a more comprehensive digital experience.
Converge officials led by Jovanni Jaime, Consumer Head for Visayas, officially unveiled the company’s newest Fiber Plans, which aims to address connectivity challenges and meet the demands of modern households.
“We are coming up with a game plan to ensure subscribers get more out of their service. This includes bundling services like Netflix, providing customers with more value at a starting price of P1,798 per month,” explained Jaime.
“We want to provide a better experience, one that extends beyond the basics of connectivity,” added Sandra Dingal, Head of Consumer Segment Marketing.
As a challenger brand, Converge focuses on speed, quality, and affordability, ensuring premium services remain within reach.
A key highlight of the announcement is Converge’s commitment to solving Wi-Fi coverage and performance issues at home.
“Many households experience poor Wi-Fi coverage or fail to achieve advertised speeds due to outdated technology and increasing device connectivity," noted Jaime.
To tackle this, all Converge subscribers will receive a free upgrade to Wi-Fi 6 technology which started on November 11, 2024.
Wi-Fi 6 is designed to handle multiple devices simultaneously, ensuring seamless connectivity for smart homes with an increasing number of gadgets.
The technology promises to eliminate lag and loading issues, enhancing the user experience for streaming, gaming, and smart home integration.
Converge has also expanded its lineup of entertainment-focused plans, catering to the growing demand for on-demand services.
The Netflix bundle is a notable addition, allowing subscribers to enjoy high-speed internet and streaming in one package, Jaime added.
“Connectivity is the foundation of modern life,” Dingal emphasized. As households rely on the internet for work, school, entertainment, and smart home devices, Converge positions itself as the go-to provider for reliable and innovative solutions.
With these advancements, Converge continues to challenge the status quo, ensuring Filipino consumers benefit from cutting-edge technology and tailored services.
Converge capped off the third quarter with its net income expanding by 29 percent year-on-year to P8.2 billion and consolidated revenues going up 14 percent to P29.9 billion in the first nine months of the year, driven by the consistently strong performance of its residential, enterprise, and wholesale businesses.
The Company’s net additional residential subscribers hit more than 330,000 in the first nine months of the year, with more than 108,000 from the third quarter.
