Housing developer bent on countryside expansion

CEBU, Philippines — Residential developer Primary Homes Inc. (PHI) is eyeing more expansion projects in the countryside areas in Cebu and neighboring provinces.

William Christopher U. Liu, Jr., chairman of Primary Group of Builders, the mother company of PHI, said in a press conference that countryside locations are far more attractive today to the market.

Although PHI has started its countryside residential development before the pandemic, such as its residential project in Bogo City, among others, it is now intensifying its search for good properties for housing projects in other towns.

PHI, which has been in the residential development market for 30 years has already acquired familiarity in cycles and trends, thus despite the health crisis it has continued to invest in expansions.

Aside from spotting lots in towns outside of Metro Cebu, PHI is also active in its expansion plans in neighboring provinces like Bohol and Negros Oriental.

Even with the pandemic, Liu said its existing developments like in Bohol and Negros registered astounding growth, proving that the market interest is there.

He added that with most people are now staying and working in their homes most of them time, acquiring decent homes with good facilities and amenities become much more enticing to the market now a days.

 According to Liu, all PHI’s developments—existing and those that are still in the drawing board will put critical attention on good telecommunication and internet connection, along with other essential facilities within a self-sustaining community.

 In the short term, PHI’s plan is to build residential projects in every city within the Cebu province, including progressive municipalities.

PHI is banking on its ability to deliver high quality, yet affordable housing products, which has become the brand’s reputation in the last 30 years.

Over the years, Primary Homes has built close to 50 projects. These have transformed into beautiful and elegant communities.

It built various types of residential projects, such as High-rise, mid-rise, walk up, resort type, pocket size, upper-middle, economic and socialized.
