Chamber Beat: CCCI releases official list of poll candidates

CEBU, Philippines —  The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) through its Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has recently named the official candidates qualified to contend for vacant positions in the 2021 Elections of Board of Trustees on February 26.

In this year’s BOT election, 10 vacant seats are to be filled in.

Three candidates vying for a seat in the industry sector are Cebu Steel Corporation Assistant to the President, Charles Kenneth Co; Virginia Food, Inc. Chairman and President, Felix “Boy” Tiukinhoy, Jr.; and Interior Basic Export Corporation President, Jay Yuvallos.

Filling in as candidates for three vacant seats for the trade sector are Baker Bob & Kates Bakery Products Founder and CEO, Katherine “Kathy” Cheng; Karllee Trading Director, Karl Antonious “Karl” De Pio; Prince Retail Group Holdings, Inc. President, Robert Go; and Cebu Supergro Products Corporation President & Finance Manager, Melita Ramos.

Vying for three seats in the service sector are Lilu Advertising & Marketing Solutions, Inc. Managing Director, Lilo “Lilu” Aliño; Tanco & Partners Law Offices Founder and Senior Partner, Atty. Joseph Tanco; and F2 Logistics Philippines, Inc. Director, Allan Uy.

Cebu Alliance of Tour Operators Specialists (CATOS) President, Alice Queblatin is the lone candidate for the sectoral association.

The 2021 Elections will be conducted through an e-voting manner in partnership with PWC Isla Lipana & Co. during the CCCI Virtual General Membership Meeting on February 26.

Deadline for submission of ballots is 12 noon of February 26, 2021.
