MCCI calls on public anew to follow health protocols
CEBU, Philippines — As businesses are opening up amid the ongoing threat of COVID-19, the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) reiterated its call to companies and consumers to adhere to strict health protocols.
MCCI, led by its president Steven Yu, sent out a reminder to its member companies, other business establishments and their respective employees to adhere to strict safety protocols to prevent the increase of COVID-19-related incidents in Mandaue City.
The reminder was issued through MCCI’s Facebook page.
This call ensued after the local government of Cebu City re-imposed strict border control following the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in the city.
The Mandaue City local government, on the other hand, has not issued a similar advisory for the city.
Since the start of the outbreak in Cebu, the business sector has been pro-active in working closely with authorities in the government in the fight to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Business organizations, like MCCI are also helping the drive to promote utmost protection by policing its members’ compliance to proper protocol.
