Manila-based developer launches Cebu project amid pandemic woes

CEBU, Philippines — Manila-based real estate developer launched its first residential project in Cebu, amid pandemic struggles.

Vanderbuilt Properties International introduced its maiden project in Cebu, called The Preston, situated in a 2.3 hectare property in San Vicente, Liloan, Cebu.

In a virtual press briefing held Thursday, October 15,2020, the company’s founder and president Ricky Sy said despite the threats of the pandemic, the multi-million-peso project will continue, in fact it is so far on track of its target completion by the fourth quarter of 2022.

“Our vision at Vanderbuilt Properties is to offer a modern and forward-thinking solution for potential homebuyers in Cebu,” Sy explained.

The project, which leverages on its ultra-modern design, yet affordable to the market, offers 129 house and lot units.

The Preston by Vanderbuilt is one of the very few companies in real estate development that decided to pursue residential project while COVID-19 threat is still here.

Sy said the company is motivated to pursue the project because of the market’s aspiration of having a comfortable home, especially during these depressing time.

The Preston by Vanderbuilt is a modern low density community. Each unit will have a floor area ranging from 117 to 167 square meters and lot area ranging from 80 to 130 square meters. The houses are equipped with four bedrooms with three toilet and baths and a car garage.

House and lot units at The Preston are composed of duplex, single-attached and single-detached with prices ranging from P5 million to P6 million.
