IntSights works with DICT on cybersecurity solutions

CEBU, Philippines —  Cyber threat intelligence firm IntSights is now working with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to help protect the Philippines from cyber-criminals.

This, after the company found out that the Philippines is one of the most attractive countries for cyber criminals around the world to enter into.

In a recently held virtual press conference, IntSights expressed its commitment to help not only the private sector in managing online security, but also the government through the DICT.

According to IntSights regional sales director for Asia, Michael Tan, his company is in touch with DICT in presenting its various cyber-threat solutions to protect the vulnerability of rising online transactions especially in the new normal times.

Tan, together with IntSights chief security officer Etay Maor, reiterated their warning for a much stronger cyber protection, as the Philippines, especially the active OFW market is now on the top list for probable victims by cyber-robbers.

High awareness of the cyber threat should be taken seriously by both financial institutions and customers, especially OFWs, warned Tan.

Fuelled by the burgeoning demand for cyber threat intelligence, IntSights plans to further expand its partner network, operations and support capabilities to extend the company’s External Threat Protection (ETP) Suite to enterprises across the Asia Pacific region, including the Philippines.

Based out of its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore with presence in Hong Kong and Japan, IntSights’ regional business is anchored by a growing team of experts from sales and pre-sales to systems engineering, channels and customer success. The company scales customer acquisition through its extensive network of channel partners including global system integrators (GSIs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), distributors and resellers.
