RLC President Frederick Go: Prioritizing digital ideas to cope with tough times

CEBU, Philippines —  Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) is poised to thrive in its string of businesses, including its latest shopping mall Robinsons Galleria Cebu, by prioritizing digital initiatives in both internal operations and providing service to customers.

“In response to shifts in both consumer behavior and the way we work, the company is prioritizing digital initiatives across its businesses,” said RLC president and chief executive officer Frederick D. Go.

For its customers, RLC has implemented sanitation and hygiene protocols from full rental waivers to substantial discounts on rents and fees to assist them in coping with the challenging times.

Likewise, for its employees RLC has allowed flexible work arrangements, provided free shuttle services to and from work, and extended assistance especially to those who reported to work during ECQ.

Here in Cebu and other parts of the Visayas, Robinsons Malls have developed several projects and marketing programs which are in the pipeline to embrace the new normal, said Floramie "May' Adolfo, Senior Regional Operations Manager – Cebu & Eastern Visayas.

“We are optimistic that, despite of the predicament we are in, we can overcome the challenges by staying relevant to our customers, and emerging stronger together with the valuable partnerships forged with our tenants and suppliers,” said Adolfo.

According to Adolfo, the pandemic has ignited innovation in the organization, strengthened its resilience and propelled them to be more agile in the way they do things.

“We have maximized the use of technology in the way we do business. For Robinsons Malls, we have adopted stringent sanitary and health protocols and have implemented Responsible Malling in all our malls,” she said.

During the onset of the pandemic , Robinsons Malls quickly installed its RDelivery (Robinsons Malls’ delivery service), RPersonal Shopper (a personal shopper service that can purchase all your mall needs), and Pick-up Station (a convenient way to pick up purchases at the comfort of your vehicles).

“We have opened new avenues on how our customers can easily connect with us,” noted Adolfo.
