Cobras seek to end skid but face tall order vs Warriors
CEBU, Philippines — The Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma Cobras hope to end their two-game skid but they face a tall order against the Cebu Landmasters-University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors in the 2018 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) Partner’s Cup today at the Cebu Coliseum.
Game time is set at 6:45 pm, right after the Mandaue Hotel-USC Baby Warriors and the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons will try to end their own losing slumps in the 5:15 opener.
The Cobras faltered in their first two games against the M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters and the Organique California-University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers.
Their bid to put brake on their slide is a tough one though as they battle the Warriors, who are itching to bounce back from their humiliating 94-67 loss to the University of the Visayas (UV) Lancers in their previous game.
On the other hand, USC’s younger counterparts are aiming to end their back-to-back setbacks, in the same way with the Dragons.
After prevailing over the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildkittens, the Baby Warriors fell prey to the Active Casino-University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Baby Jaguars and to the Baby Lancers.
The Dragons, on the other hand, were beaten to the pulp by Hotel Fortuna-UC Junior Webmaters and the Baby Panthers. EBV
